Why Join?
In joining PDSA you become one step closer to reaching your goal of getting into dental school. Through our dental workshops, shadowing programs, dental school visits, and more you will be able to enhance your understanding of the dental field and become a more competitive, well-rounded applicant. Members have the opportunity to take part in many of our dental volunteering events which help, as a prospective dental school applicant, in becoming knowledgeable in dental terminology and procedures. Attending meetings will boost your involvement and allow you to network with dentists, dental specialists, and dental school admissions personnel. As members of the dental community, we pride ourselves in staying well-informed in current issues affecting the dental profession and we introduce our members to organized dentistry through the national American Student Dental Association (ASDA).
Getting involved with PDSA will provide you several opportunities that will make you a stronger applicant when applying to dental school, along with many other benefits. With a variety of events each semester, PDSA will help you become more knowledgeable in the dental field. Along with this, you will have the opportunity to connect with other members in the club to create many long lasting friendships! As a plus, being active within our organization will earn you points towards Honorary Membership and Member(s) of the Year Awards.
