Ways to Stay Involved
General
Meetings
We host guest speakers at each general meeting, including leaders in dentistry and recruiters. We also have dental school admissions personnel visit us, dental students panel, and share information on each dental school and their application requirements.
Workshops
We offer workshops such as impressions workshops, dental assisting workshops, DAT workshops, professionalism workshops, and many others to further advance your knowledge in the dental field, application process, and improve your manual dexterity!
Socials
These events are for members to meet one another to establish genuine connections for academic studying and DAT preparation, create long lasting friendships, and have fun!
Tabling
PDSA often tables in front of the Student Union to spread awareness of oral health as well as to reach out to potential new members.
Volunteering
We volunteer with DCAF in Orange Country public schools, organizations involved with the Central Florida community, annual events like Florida's Mission of Mercy, dental clinics, abroad on mission trips and many more!
PDSA coordinates visits to dental schools in Florida by attending their many events such as pre-dental days, open houses, etc. Representative(s) from dental schools also visit PDSA via zoom or in-person at UCF to speak more about their D.M.D/D.D.S programs and to answer any questions you have!
